Every year SSEC awards prizes to Macquarie University history students, PhD candidates, and recent graduates.

If you are interested in applying for a prize please become a member so that you will receive the announcements about application dates. If you are a member and would like to contribute to a prize please see the SSEC donation page.

Patricia Geidans’ Prize is awarded for the best thesis in the Master of Research programme in the broad area of Early Christian and Jewish Studies.

The Macquarie/Tyndale Cambridge Travelling Scholarship is awarded to a Macquarie University postgraduate student or recent PhD graduate working on a project in Early Christian and Jewish Studies.

Postgraduate Travelling Grants Each year SSEC offers up to 4 travelling grants to members who are also postgraduates enrolled in higher degree work in Ancient History at Macquarie.

The Alanna Nobbs Prize is awarded for the best thesis by a woman student in the Master of Research programme.
